With all of the social media, live in the moment, gotta have/see/read it now mentality there are so many Deletable Moments in our lives.

People will let their fingers do the talking and make a post without giving it proper thought.  They say things with their fingers that they wouldn’t dare say aloud.  They post pictures that should not be shown to anyone and wonder why people want to judge them. These my friend are Deletable Moments.

Pictures that put you/others in a negative light. Deletable Moment

Conversations with (how do I say this politely) the intellectually challenged are generally a waste.  Deletable Moment

People who drain you or do not add value to your life, happiness, or well-being.  Deletable

Situations that make you feel or look bad. Deletable

Foolishness can give you a good laugh but can often be Deletable.

I am sure that you have heard the saying ‘A wise man told me don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who.’

Proverbs 26:4 (New Living Translation) says ‘Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.’ This is a fact.

With all of the quick and fast communication available, we have to be mindful of the audience.  Know whom you are speaking to and be wise in your speech.  Do not let the words of the foolish cause you to become something that you are not and say or do things that you did not intend.

When you take time to like or respond to a crazy social media post, you are taking the bait.  Your response to the foolishness allows the intellectually challenged to pull you into their foolishness.  It’s not worth it, enjoy a laugh and then move along it’s a Deletable Moment.

I have a low threshold for stupid (yes, stupid is worse than foolishness) and will kindly remove myself from being privy to your posts.

  • Post an obscenely inappropriate picture
  • Type without using vowels like everything is a text message
  • Curse in every post/sentence, make no sense

I’m Done, Gone, Don’t Want to Read No Mo’!  I will smoothly click a button to no longer show those posts and boom – they will not be shown on my page feed.  Give it a try…what do you wish to no longer see?  Mark it a Deletable Moment and move on.

There are too many Happy Moments in Life to deal with an abundance of Deletable Moments.
