How’s Your Logo

If you were to ask a close friend, ‘What’s the first word that comes to mind when you see me?’ what would they say?

Are you worried about their answer or confident that it will be some good stuff?

Now, think about how a coworker would answer that same question. Are you worried yet?

Then, ask your family – the ones you talk to regularly and those you see at family events only. What would they say?

Would all of these groups of folks have the same words to describe you? Would their words be similar or very different?

Wait a minute, what about your church family? Um, who won’t ask them? Go on and ask them too.

I know for a fact that these groups would have varying words for me. Funny, tough, direct, sweet, and fun would come from most folks while others would say I’m a nice mean lady. I give you truth in love or at least with a giggle. I am not offended! You may come to me with a frown but 9 out of 10 times you will leave with a smile…a smirk at least.

Whatever words people use, that’s their perception of how they see you. It’s your logo in their eyes. The important piece is how You See You in all of the various environments you interact within. Are you true to yourself and who you are or do you change to fit in or to make others comfortable?

If someone doesn’t like you, it’s not your job to make them. That is their issue, not yours. They should get their adulting pants on and be able to have a conversation with you about their issue. If they cannot do that, who cares?

If someone loves you, great let them love you. Don’t get all in their love by catering them them only to be who they want you to be, be You.

In all things, in all ways, and with all people – Be true to YOU and you will be one big ball of happy!

What’s your logo and how is it doing?
