Share Prayer – Day 1 – Simple Is Good

During Vacation Bible School this year, one of the challenges in our book was to Share Prayer with others.

These past few days have been full of different family issues and there is no better time than right now to Share Prayer.

When things are all over the place, I’ve done all that I can do, and I feel that a little ‘extra’ prayer is needed, I gladly reach out to the Prayer Warriors in my circles.  I know that they will stay in prayer a little longer to pray about these issues.  Some like to share the prayer they pray, others do pray and ask others to join in on the prayer chain.  It’s a wonderful thing!  We should all have Prayer Warriors within our circle.

Prayer, simply put, is – Your conversation with God.  Prayer doesn’t have to be in a formal place, stance, or language.  You are to talk to God as you need to talk to him in a comfortable way.  When praying is comfortable, it will not feel like a burden or a task that you do not want to complete.

There are so many good prayers out there that it is hard to know what to share.  During this week, I’m going to share what comes to my heart. Here goes…

This is a prayer that I pray often, mostly when things seem to be falling down in the lives of those around me or things seem to be taking turns that I’d rather they not take.

Lord, I Thank You That My Today Is Better than My Yesterday.

That’s it, that’s the entire prayer.  Yes, it’s that simple.  I recite this prayer daily from time-to-time when I need it.  It keeps me in an appreciative mode because I could not have a today!

Your Challenge:

  • What’s your favorite prayer?
  • What prayer helps to calm your Spirit?
  • What prayer gives you reassurance that things will work out for your good?

Think about the prayers that impact you most and take time to Share Prayer with someone who may be blessed through them.

Make Time Everyday to Pray Some Mo’!
