These Two Things

It’s interesting how our behavior can be dictated by our happiness with ourselves, our life, and the lives of the people around us.

When we are ballin, on top of the world, gettin it in we are as happy as can be.  Can’t nobody tell us nothing because we are living the dream, paying our own bills, stompin’ with the big dogs, and plain ole HAPPY!

Some of our arrogance shines through while we bask in Happy. We may become an island, a one man show, an I did this all on my own show. (When you know God’s hands are all over it!)

Flip the scene… We can’t seem to get a break, everything that can go wrong does, life sucks.  We’ve been robbed; Our Happy has been stolen!

Some of us will gladly listen and accept advice when we are working to get back to Happy.  We’ll pay attention to the happiness around us and try to mimic what we see. We’ll be patient, kind, caring, prayerful, and determined as we work back to Happy.

The other group of us will still be know it alls and believe that we are doing the right things in the right way although nothing is working.  We’ll be as stubborn as a mule, angry with God and the world, and keep banging our heads against one wall after another.

When you are working your way back to Happy you’re often humble, hungry, and willing.  You’re patiently awaiting your time.  When you are living in the sunshine, an attitude of gratefulness, helpfulness, and appreciation should be visible in your actions.

Where are you on the road to Happy…working to get there or enjoying its sunshine?  Wherever you are keep your patience and attitude in check and everything will be just fine.

Be Happy where you are in your life. It’s yours.  It’s not meant to be like anyone else’s.  May you be blessed as you enjoy your seasons of Happy.
