I have heard many people speak about how addictive the game Candy Crush can be. They just have to keep playing until they finish a challenging level. They invest quite a bit of time on this game.
While you may not be a Candy Crush addict, is there something that absorbs large amounts of your time? For most of us, the answer is YES. It’s surely a yes for me.
Let’s dive a little deeper…
- Is your ‘it’ productive?
- Are you proud or ashamed to say what your ‘it’ is?
- Does ‘it’ get you closer to or farther away from your goals?
- Do you feel better or worse after time spent doing ‘it’?
- If you spent the same amount of time on something else, would you be happier, better off, make more money, grow?
If I shifted time from my ‘it’, I know that my laundry would be done and put away, I would write more, sit and read more, write more prayers, finally learn to knit, and be more productive for sure.
Take a look at your time, define your Candy Crush, and start shifting your time to something better. It takes 21 days to create a new habit. Let’s dedicate 22 days to this challenge. Who’s with me?
