Have you read Psalm 3:3?
Have you ever given concentrated thought to Psalm 3:3?
Have you received the words in your Spirit?
Psalm 3:3 says
It is a Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom, that speaks volumes in a few words.
I would like to share my take on these lines and they way that they speak to my heart and Spirit.
You, O Lord – These words honor our Lord with reverence. I am definitively saying that it is no one but my LORD I am speaking about.
You, O Lord, are a shield about me – The Lord protects me on all sides, in all places, in all situations. He keeps me because of who He is.
You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory – I am thankful for your protection. You are my joy, peace, happiness, and being. Being able to thank and praise You, O Lord, makes life worth living.
You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head – Oh, how this makes me smile! No matter what is going on, my Lord is the Lifter of My Head! Whether my days are filled with sunshine, clouds, or rain my head will not be bowed down looking at the ground, things that are beneath me, things that do not deserve my time, energy, and effort but rather looking upward, ahead, and onward to the One Who is the Lifter of My Head. You, O Lord give me reason to lift my head and smile each day.
